Kalbarri Canoe Safaris offer a Half day tour, suitable for all ages 3+, am or pm tours available which include's a fully cooked breakfast/lunch, a 4wd adventure through the bush in one of our custom offroad vehicles, and everything else required to enjoy a tranquil paddle too see some of the most spectacular scenery along the
Mighty Murchison River.
Morning Tours vary in start times, either 7,8 or 10am
Afternoon Tour begin at 12 noon

CANOE SAFARI
We begin the half day tours from Kalbarri Boat Hire’s central location on Grey street Kalbarri.
(Opposite the Murchison Caravan Park)
Start times and variations of the Tour are subject to change, due to seasonal and weather changes.
Morning Tours vary in start times but begin at either 7am, 8am or 10am, and generally run everyday if minimum numbers are met.
Afternoon Tours begin at 12.noon but are more Tide/Weather pending.

OUR TOUR BEGINS
With an introduction to our local tour guides. We issue lifejackets, give a short safety briefing and prepare you for the adventure ahead.
We provide a Courtesy 4WD vehicle to travel up river to begin the Canoe Safari adventure, and to return you safely to Kalbarri Boat Hire Homebase.
We hit the river’s edge and you choose your paddling crew, max of 3 adults per canoe.
We then give a quick demonstration on paddling techniques and what to look for on the river.
This is a self guided, and self paced trip and you can take your time at a relaxed pace.
Varying conditions can change at a moments notice, such as weather, tide and changes of the environment, so we have the right to change our scheduled Tour without compensation or justification. We may find it necessary to change the scheduling slightly on some Tours. This will be discussed at your safety briefing at the very start of your tour, however can change during the course of your tour at the Guides discretion. Your safety and well being is paramount.
MURCHISON BEAUTY
The first section of your tour begins at Gregory's Rock. After teaming-up with your paddling partners, you hop onboard the Canoe's and begin your spectacular adventure of the Mighty Murchison River!
The first leg is approximately 3.5klm's of pristine river and rock formations, which will take approx 45mins to meander your way to Nanny Goat Well.
Watch out for plenty of Wildlife along the way.
On approach to Nanny Goat Well, your bellies will be spurred on and come to life after having smelt the amazing aroma of our famous BBQ breakfast/Lunch, cooked fresh by our very own Bush Chef Jason!
This is an all you can eat breakfast/lunch, underneath the gum trees, a spot especially chosen for its natural beauty.
Please let our guides know of any food allergies and preferences for cooking your breakfast.
Once your bellies are full you embark on your second leg of your paddle.
This is also approximately 45 minutes and 3.5klm distance. The ever changing river banks, rock formations and abundant wildlife will keep you entertained and eager for more as you continue along the way, pausing at your own pace to take in and capture those views!
Your next stop you'll pull into the river bank to be met by our local guides. This area is known by the locals as the Dance Floor. Legend has it that there used to be late night bush dancing here. We chose this spot as it has a lovely deep waterhole, here you can swim, cool off or relax on the river bank.
AFTER YOUR SWIM
Your final destination you'll be greeted by our Guide along the sandy river bank.
At this point the Canoes will be reloaded onto the vehicles, and your return 4WD journey back to homebase begins.
Relax, sit back and enjoy the scenery or share paddling stories with new found friends.
Once you feel refreshed, the Guide will discuss the option to complete the third and final leg of the Tour, weather & time permitting.
This is approximately 30min and 2 ½ km. On this section of the river you may see plenty of kangaroos, wallabies and goats coming down from the bush to have a drink at the river’s edge, and dont forget our famous Pelicans and Swans......

Your journey ends back at Kalbarri Boat Hire's Homebase, where you'll be reminiscing and sharing stories from your experience.

Terms & Conditions
CANCELLATION POLICY:
1. All cancellations incur a 10% fee
2. All refunds exclude booking and creditcard fees and charges, that may have been charged at the time of your booking.
3. If you cancel your booking within 3 days before the tour time 50% deposit will be refunded or we can transfer you on another date (if available)
2. If you cancel your booking 48 hours (or less) before the tour date no refund applies.
3. If you are a ‘no-show’ on the morning of the trip for whatever reason no refund applies.
* If your tour is cancelled by us, you will receive a full refund, less the creditcard fees and charges.
* If you've booked via our Website, cancellations are only done by speaking with staff directly on 9937-1245.
DIETARY CHANGES:
Due to our Unique location and use of a Bush BBQ, not all dietary requirements can be met. We do however try our best to accommodate where possible, and we certainly do accommodate Vegetarians and Gluten Free options. Please select these options when booking and note that all food will be cooked on the same BBQ.
Vegan, Kosher and serious food allergies cannot be accommodated, due to products supplied and our unique bush surroundings. We're happy for you to bring your own meal in these instants.
CHANGE TO TOURS:
The Tour Guide may on occasion adjust our normal Tour routine to accommodate the changing weather and wind conditions.
These changes will be discussed during your Safety briefing at the beginning of your Tour, however this may change during the course of your Tour with safety being the paramount factor of the changes.We reserve the right to these changes, without compensation or justification.
Tours depart from the Kalbarri Boat Hire, opposite the Murchison Caravan Park along the foreshore in the center of Kalbarri.
